Easter is coming up on Sunday, and leading up to the holiday, area churches, communities, and businesses have planned unique events. So find your way to one of these for an egg-cellent family activity:
Photos with the Easter Bunny, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. now through Saturday, Greenwood Park Mall, near Von Maur, 1251 U.S. 31 North, Greenwood. Reservations strongly encouraged at whereisbunny.com/mall/1372.
Easter egg hunt and brunch, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, The Haven at Hickory Stick, 4422 Thompson Blvd., Greenwood; enjoy a free Easter egg hunt at 10:15 a.m. and photos with the Easter Bunny. An optional brunch will be available starting at 9 a.m. Brunch tickets are available for $15 at havenhickorystick.com by clicking the “Reservations” tab.
Easter egg hunt and brunch, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Hillview Country Club, Franklin.
Rocklane Family Easter event, 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Rocklane Christian Church, 6848 N. County Road 250E, Whiteland; take part in an Easter egg hunt, coffee, donuts, farm animals and more with Rocklane Christian Church. All are invited. Attendees should bring their own Easter basket for the egg hunt.
Easter egg hunt, 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, Calvary Tabernacle-Greenwood campus, 99 W. Broadway St.; hunt for 10,000 eggs, enjoy exciting giveaways, coffee and refreshments, cotton candy, popcorn and face painting.
Easter egg hunt and bake sale, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Franklin American Legion, 1200 Park Ave.; join the American Legion Auxiliary Post 205 for a fun egg hunt starting at 1 p.m., and pick up some fresh baked goodies for your Easter dinner. Photos with the Easter bunny start at noon.
Easter egg hunt, noon Saturday, Mt. Pleasant Christian Fellowship, 2425 S. Emerson Ave., Greenwood; for kids up to age 12, with four staggered egg hunts for parents to enjoy each age group of their kids. There will be 150 golden eggs available to win a filled Easter baskets.
Easter at the Firehouse, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, New Whiteland Fire Department, 500 Sweetbriar Ave.; the Easter Bunny will be hopping around and eager for parents to take pictures of him with their kids. There will be an egg coloring contest, plastic eggs for each child with candy (while they last), games, snacks, prizes and other fun activities available. This event will be rain or shine.
Greenwood Christian Church Easter egg hunt, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Greenwood Christian Church, 2045 Averitt Road; take part in an Easter egg hunt, crafts, snacks and story time. There will be a sensory hour from 1-2 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the activities will happen indoors.
Easter egg hunt, 11:15 a.m.-noon Sunday, Impact Christian Church, 2800 N. Graham Road, Franklin; kids can enjoy an Easter egg hunt following services at the church.
Easter egg hunt, 11 a.m. April 26, Our Lady of the Greenwood School, 399 S. Meridian St.; join Knights of Columbus Council No. 6138 and take part in an egg hunt for kids 4 and younger and kids 5 and older. The hunt is free with donation of a canned or boxed food item for the OLG Food Pantry.
