Many people assume that growing older in the public eye is frightening. For Amanda, it’s the opposite. She feels confident, secure and happy with how she looks — and that’s all that matters. Whether others think she looks her age or not no longer concerns her.

Life before confidence

Growing up in Hampshire, Amanda struggled with her appearance. Tall and slender, she felt out of place in her teenage years. She began modelling at 17, quickly learning how critical the industry could be. By 21, her looks were constantly analyzed, from supposed wrinkles to body measurements. Eventually, pressure from the industry pushed her to change things she once loved about herself.

Cosmetic choices and early career

In her early 20s, she chose cosmetic surgery, starting with her nose. That single decision led to multiple procedures. She also underwent other aesthetic treatments, helped by a growing career modelling for major brands. Later, she faced a life-threatening melanoma, a moment that shifted her relationship with beauty and health forever.

Health, weight and routine

Naturally slim for most of her life, her body changed in her 50s. She tried different approaches, eventually finding balance through walking, reformer Pilates and medical support when needed. Walking at least 10,000 steps daily became a cornerstone of her routine, helping both her mental and physical health.

Menopause, healing and sobriety

She went through menopause quickly and now uses hormone therapy. After a painful divorce, she faced anxiety and unhealthy coping habits, which she replaced with sobriety and faith. Her spirituality became her foundation, bringing peace, clarity and strength.

Now in her late 50s, Amanda feels more present, healthier and confident than ever before. She’s open to love again and believes life continues to get richer with age.
